Statement of Faith
On God.
There is One God, Who was, and is, and is to come, and exists eternally and simultaneously in Three Persons: the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit. All three Persons have the same Divine Nature, and are therefore the same in power, in majesty and in glory. God does not change – He is the same yesterday, today and for ever. He does not conform to fashions, trends, times or seasons.
On the Person of Jesus Christ.
Jesus Christ is verily God and verily Man, with not one spot or blemish or sin or error ever existing, ever having existed or ever going to exist on His Person or actions. He is the Living Word of God, and was born of a virgin named Mary, in Bethlehem-Judea. Before His birth, He existed eternally. While on earth, He lived a sinless life, performed many miracles, and died on the cross as the only Perfect, Matchless and Fitting Sacrifice for the sin of mankind. He rose again gloriously and victoriously on the third day after His death. After His resurrection, He appeared to a number of people, chosen as witnesses before the foundations of the earth. He ascended into heaven and is seated at the right hand of the Father. He is our High Priest, Advocate, Intercessor and Army Captain. He is Lord. He will one day return to judge all mankind.
On the Person of the Holy Spirit.
The Holy Spirit is God, just as much God as the Father and the Son. The Holy Spirit convicts the world of sin, righteousness and judgment. He glorifies Jesus Christ, convicts man of sin, regenerates lost sinners, and dwells in believers to empower them for godly living and the spiritual battle. The baptism of the Holy Spirit is a requirement for every believer. This baptism is not just a matter of tongues, but must also be evident in one’s life – in the fruit of the Holy Spirit. Men do not gather grapes of thorns, or figs of thistles.
On the Bible.
The Bible, namely the 66 Books of the Old and New Testament (from Genesis to Malachi and Matthew to The Revelation), is the Word of God, written down by men that He chose and appointed before the foundations of the earth. In its original and unadulterated writings, it is completely without error historically, scientifically, morally, and spiritually. The Bible is the final authority on all matters concerning us. It should and must be obeyed above all, i.e., above all opinions, above all theories, above all speculations, above all feelings, above all media, above all celebrities, above all trends – above all things. Heaven and earth will pass away, but the Word of God will stand for ever.
On Creation.
In the beginning, God created the heaven and the earth. The earth is the LORD’s, and the fullness thereof, and creation declares the awesome power and love of God. Through creation, man can discover the existence of God, because it is so intricate, delicate and powerfully wrought that it cannot have been made by anyone but God. An honest study of creation through archaeology, astronomy, biology, chemistry, mathematics, history, physics and other sciences and humanities will cause a man to denounce any notions of big bangs, primordial soups, ape-ancestors, evolution and all other such-like anti-creation nonsense, and fall to his knees in humble adoration of the Awesome and Mighty Living God.
On Man.
God created man in His image and placed him in the Garden of Eden. Man sinned, and therefore was alienated from God. Because of this, all mankind was corrupted and brought under condemnation. No man can please God in his (man’s) own strength. Every human being needs redemption by the Blood of Jesus Christ and can only be regenerated by the Holy Spirit. Without the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ, all mankind would be condemned.
On Salvation.
The Loving and Just nature of God is evident in the atoning death of Jesus Christ: Because man was condemned, God’s wrath was upon all mankind. But this wrath was satisfied by the crucifixion of His Only Begotten Son, Jesus Christ. Christ bore all the iniquity for all humankind and is the only Source of true reconciliation between God and man. Jesus Christ is the only way for man to be reunited with God. Salvation is not by works or pomp or ceremony, but by grace. Righteousness is imputed to only those who believe. We are saved by grace through faith. No human being has any bragging rights. And no human being has any excuse.
On Death/Resurrection.
It is appointed unto men once to die, and thereafter the judgement. At physical death, the believer enters into eternal, conscious fellowship with the Sovereign God and awaits the resurrection of his body into everlasting glory and blessing. At physical death, the unbeliever enters into eternal, conscious separation from God and awaits the resurrection of the body into eternal condemnation and the second death. The unbeliever dwells in a place called hell, fully aware of the torment, remembering perfectly the life lived on earth, unable to retrace steps and get the once-trampled salvation, for “their worm dieth not and their fire is not quenched.”
On the Great Commission.
Jesus Christ gave the Great Commission, and not the Great Suggestion, the Great Proposal or the Great Recommendation. Every believer should go into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature, using the gifts given to them by God. Those who believe the gospel and are baptized shall be saved, and those who do not believe it shall be condemned. All who believe shall in the Name of Jesus cast out devils and speak with new tongues. Serpents and deadly drinks and any weapon formed by the enemy against them will neither prosper nor harm them. They shall lay hands on the sick and they shall recover.
