An Apple a Day… Realistically
Hi Yakuti.
I love the medical section of this magazine. How can we realistically get
our recommended fruit and vegetable servings on a daily basis? I’m
speaking for those like myself who don’t have too much money to spend and
also can’t stand vitamin pills.

Hey Joyce,
Great question! Getting the right amount of fruits and vegetable is an issue I myself struggle with. I have a few recommendations…add fruits to snacks… use fresh fruit to make smoothies at home and eat a juicy fresh salad with your meals. Try to keep things colorful and varied by never eating the same thing too much and try eating fruits you’ve never tasted before. These are options I added to my every day routine and I hope it works for you.
