Giving – the Key
In this year, 2010, many of us have come up with plans on how to enlarge our territory in the financial world. Most of them revolve around the circles of earning more, spending less, save more and live more comfortably. But what exactly will aid us achieve all that and more? The key is none other but Giving.
Psalms 41:1-3, Oh the joys of those who are kind to the poor! The Lord rescues them when they are in trouble, the Lord protects them and keeps them alive, and He gives them prosperity in the land and rescues them from their enemies. The Lord nurses them when they are sick and restores them to health. (Proverbs 28:27)
When you give to the poor, you are assured of being rescued from troubles brought by the devourer aimed at stifling your finances. This may be through legal cases, health, theft, con artists, and traps that lead you to debt and in the long run loosing your financial stand.
Giving makes you prosperous. The principles of the bible and those of the world are very different and so is their operation. For Christians, giving opens up the gates of heaven and there we receive a good measure pressed down shaken together and running over (Luke 6:38).However the world emphasizes the need to be individualistic .Lending to the needy is basically lending GOD (Proverbs 19:20). The more you give the higher is your divine supply.
Tithing is another form of giving and is an important part of the key. Malachi 3:10.
When we bring the entire tithe to the house of God we fill the store house of the Lord with food, then in return the Lord promises to open the windows of heaven for you. Those windows may include many channels of lucrative investments. Remember that the Lord has given us the power to create wealth. Deuteronomy 8:18. He has already encoded in us the success mechanism.
Firstfruits giving are another form of opening the financial window. When you give your first fruits you will be in other words telling God that you trust him with your business and in essence letting him take pre-eminence. Once GOD is in charge of your business, then he will bless it and protect it and make it grow. Remember that our God operates on principles and therefore he does what he says and His word will never go back to him void without accomplishing that which it was sent to do. Isaiah 55:11.
Offering giving is also very imperative. When offerings are given then the work of the Lord progresses and when we do God’s work, he does ours. That means that God will continue blessing the work of your hands and you will enjoy the good of the land.
Giving your time is very imperative in whatever field God has placed you. Give your time and work hard. The Bible says in Proverbs 28:19, a hard working farmer has plenty to eat ,people who waste time will always be poor. Hard work will enable you to have plenty whether you own the work or not. Hardworking employees more often get promoted at a faster rate, where need be, study more about the field you are in. The more informed you are, the better you will perform your work and the greater will be your returns. Take time to also pray and fast for your business.
It also matters how you give. Do you give out of a cheerful heart or not? The Bible states that God loves a cheerful giver. When you do what it states then it becomes automatic that you will attract the Lord’s attention. Therefore, let your lifestyle be one of giving. Surely the Lord will bless you and increase you from all directions. Test him and see how faithful he will be in fulfilling his word.
