Love the food but hate the pounds….

Thanksgiving is around the corner and I have to confess… I love my holiday
foods. What tips can you give me to retain a healthy diet during the
festives?

Hi Lisa,
I completely identify with you! Holidays are the time of the year where we
visit family, share love, presents and unfortunately pack on a lot of
pounds. So what can we all do to prevent accumulating all that extra
weight? Here are some practical tips
1-Drink a glass of water before you start a meal; this will make you feel
considerably fuller and prevent you from over feeding.
2-Try to eat (or at least snack) at home before going out to dinner
parties, you will want to eat less.
3- Try to eat from one plate; eating from multiple plates at once will
trick you into believing you’re eating less than you actually are.
4-Remember that liquids (ice-cream, milkshakes, wines, alcoholic
beverages, soda/pop and juices) also carry calories, so be careful in how
much of these you consume.
5-Also let’s not forget the good ol’fashion gym! LOL Walking for as little
as 30 minutes a day can make quite a difference.
