Women, I appreciate you

beautifulwoman2“Women!”

And when they hear us exclaim like that, they want to start a fight but the truth is we do not say it for nothing. There are dynamics of womanhood I will never understand but for some reason I feel like it is best that I remain oblivious.

I doubt there is any species that can destroy themselves emotionally like women can. I have never seen any species so beautiful, yet thinking they are so ugly. Mouths so captivating, saying words so disgusting about one of their own. Hearts that can swell with so much love for a child but so much envy and hate for a fellow woman made of the same soil as that child. Minds so intelligent forming questions that make you wonder – questions like “does my butt look big” – to which if you answer “yes”, you can ruin an entire lifetime.

I watch women and wonder, do you know how blessed and what a blessing you are? Do you know where your value comes from? You are a precious jar of clay and you are on a mission. Many distractions will come simply to ensure you do not achieve this mission so do not let them deceive you. Whether you are young, old, employed, unemployed, educated, uneducated, attractive or unattractive, skinny or thick, you are a child of God with a purpose that He has given you the grace to accomplish. You have gone through so much and you are still here – keep plowing on and do not let the storms of life weigh you down. God is a Fixer – take to Him what is broken and He will make all things new. You are beautiful, elegant, nurturing, and we would be lost if we did not have you to make the world a better place. Imagine an entire world full of rough, rugged, deep-voiced, vicious, bad cooks!

This month, I just want to applaud and bless God for women. You are a gift, and I appreciate you. Free yourself from what others think and live your life! You are confident and beautiful and your dreams can be achieved. The joy of the Lord is your strength.
