Itchy eyes

Great job on the articles girlfriend, sometimes we read and get so engrossed we even forget to say how thankful we are so here is my chance to squeeze a “keep it up!” into my question! Doc, my eyes are always itchy, I don’t understand! I constantly feel like rubbing them and at first I thought it was a stye but it went on and on and on and on just itchiness a little watery but with nothing else like pain or what. What could it be?

Hey Rukia,
Thanks so much for the encouragement; it brought a smile to my face. So you have itch eyes…. Eshhh, the possible causes are sky high! If it only itches during the summer or ever since you got that new puppy, it could be allergies; it could be due to conjunctivitis (pink eye infection), it could be from chronic dry eyes… the list goes on. I would have to get a proper history from you before I can diagnose. I will suggest you get some eye drops such as “Visine” but if the itchiness continues for a long period of time, go see your doctor.
