Hi Kelechi,
Very good question! A lot of people think dust mites are just dust but in reality dust mites are actual organisms that feed off things such as dry human skin flakes. They can trigger both asthma and allergies because substances in their feces can be quite irritating to our lungs. How can we control them? The first thing is sanitation and constant washing of bedding, curtains and clothes and when it comes to laundry, the hotter the water, the better! There are also powders and liquids sold in store under different names but basically anything containing Boron will work.
