Become More Beautiful
READ IT ALOUD: Rejoice in the LORD, O ye righteous: for praise is comely for the upright (Psalm 33:1).
PONDER IT PRAYERFULLY: If there is anything, or rather, anyone, worth rejoicing in, it is the Lord. Sometimes we want to rejoice in things that do not contribute to our eternal good, forgetting that every good and perfect gift is from God. A new hairstyle, an increased salary, a gift we have received… there is nothing wrong with rejoicing if we remember that all good things come from God, and He is simply blessing us because we are His children. It is better and more beneficial for us to rejoice in Him than in anything or anyone else.
There is nothing that makes a child of God more beautiful than praising God. Praise makes us beautiful especially when we are going through situations that seem to warrant complaint or misery. Nothing else looks this good on an upright person.
BE A DOER (JAMES 1:22): God loves to hear our praise. We should praise Him not just in our hearts but also with the fruit of our lips. He has done so much for us, why should we remain silent? Why should our voices be heard mentioning His Name only when trials come?
HIDE IT IN YOUR HEART (PSALM 119:11): For our heart shall rejoice in him, because we have trusted in his holy name (Psalm 33:21).
PRAY IT PERSONALLY: Father in heaven, today I come simply to praise You. I am not going to talk about myself or my issues; today I just want to acknowledge that You are good, faithful, merciful, patient, forgiving, and I am nothing without You. I want to declare Your praise in the earth, God. After all, if I remain silent, the rocks will praise You and ashame me! There is none like You; even if I searched for all eternity, I would find no God like my God. Thank You for being who You are – You are worthy of all my praise, in Jesus’ Name!!!!!
